When visiting Paris, home of some of the most fabulous restaurants in the world, the meals you have are some of the most memorable parts of the trip. It’s tough to narrow it down to just a few places!
The food scene Paris is amazing. From all corners of the world, gastronomical sensations are all represented in the city. I am so excited to team up with Habitat Parisien to introduce you to some of my favorites eateries and places to go out in Paris.
BREAKFAST & BRUNCH
Brunch culture has become prominent in Paris, with many restaurants adding a specific weekend brunch menu to their repertoire.
Cafe Charlot

Metro: Filles du Calvaire (Line 8)
This is the Fashion Week hotpost! The décor of the café is very beautifully French, with servers dressed in white shirts and suspenders. The queue for brunch is always out the door but as soon as you taste the first bite, you understand why. It’s fantastic and one of my favorite places in Paris.

Just off the Place des Vosges, this restaurant is home to the second best brunch in Paris. To go along with your freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee, brunch begins with a plate of viennoiseries, different breads, and all types of jams and spreads. Next, you have eggs the way you like them that come with fantastic side dishes. Brunch ends on a sweet note with the dessert of your choice.

This is another fantastic brunch spot in the beautiful 7th arrondissement. Coutume coffee is ranked as among the best in Paris; try the V60. They also have a delicious lunch menu and incredible desserts. Their mango yogurt with fruit is divine!
Le Bal Café

Metro: Place de Clichy (Lines 2 and 13)
Located in the north of Paris, Le Bal Café is a hidden gem. The service is not great, but the food is delicious. A British eatery in Paris, you can have a hearty English breakfast here, or if you’re just stopping in for coffee and a dessert, I highly recommend the scones.

They're open for lunch from 12 - 4 p.m. They have the best sandwiches in the city! They also have a fantastic wine bar, which I always appreciate.

This is a vegetarian place that serves fresh, healthy, and delicious dishes and won't break the bank!

This covered market is amazing! Alain's Crepes is my favorite place to visit. His crepes are organic and the hands down the best I’ve had in Paris. Aside from that stand, there are many other permanent stands there, so you can get everything from flowers to wine to Moroccan food. It's not busy and buzzing during the week (weekends are another story), so it's a lovely place to visit and have lunch.
L'As Du Fallafel

It’s a very well-known and excellent falafel place in the Jewish quarter (le Marais). Sit in or takeaway, if you’d like to stroll around the stunning neighborhood.
La Terrasse Sainte Catherine

On a darling place in the 4e, the cute restaurant offers a serene take on the city. With plenty of outdoor seating, it's a great place to enjoy an afternoon appetizer or meal and glass of wine.
Rose Bakery

Metro: Pigalle (Line 2, 12), Saint Georges (Line 12)
Rose Bakery is a brilliant Franco-Britannic combination that this city has to offer. Their lunches are wonderful, brunch on weekends is packed, and their pastries sell out quickly. My suggestion: get there early.

To start your night off, or to have the best charcuterie & cheese planche in the city, start your night off on rue Martyrs in the 9th arrondissement. On this lively street with a view of the Sacre Coeur, you can enjoy the best cheese and meats from Corsica. Make sure to enjoy a glass of red wine with your planche mixte; it makes it all the better!
Le Fumoir

I love Le Fumoir. The beautiful corner café facing the Louvre is the perfect spot to meet up with friends. Their wine selection is fantastic, and their cocktails are just what you need.

For a casual and fun dinner, head to Blend near the Louvre. Their burgers are the best I have tasted in Paris. They have different combinations of burgers, all of which are delicious. You may have to chat outside for a bit, but it’s worth the wait.

This is one of the coolest crepe places in Paris. Their crepes are traditional Breton style. You can have a savory galette for your main dish and then a salted butter caramel (caramel au beurre sale) crepe for dessert. Add some Breton cider, and you have a hearty, delicious, and inexpensive meal. It's in a very nice neighborhood, so you can have a nice walk afterward and enjoy the shops and sights nearby!

One of Paris’s coolest and most rustic steakhouses can be found in the northern part of the Marais. The wooden beams of the 17th century house add to the country feel of this restaurant. Add the wood-fire oven and planches that your steak is served on, and you would think you were in Province.
Clasico Argentina

My favorite place to get empanadas and enjoy incredible Argentinian wine is at Clasico Argentina in the Marais. I highly recommend ordering their Menu Decouverte and having an alfajor for dessert!
Derrière

The philosophy behind this restaurant is to create an environment that feels like a home away from home. The furniture is comfortable yet eclectic, so that you feel like you are entertaining chez toi. I like eating here because the menu is slightly on the creative side, so you feel a bit adventurous. The chef always succeeds in his endeavours, and the wine selection is excellent. Also, they have a ping pong table!

I can't get enough of this Thai restaurant. I’ve been eight times in the past year and a half! It's just across the street from the exit of the Saint Paul metro, so you can't get lost. The decor is romantic, and the food is exquisite.
Chez Prosper

They have some steaks that are fantastic, as well as some huge salads that are vegetarian-friendly. The salad au chevre is my favorite. In the east of Paris, Chez Prosper is a local neighborhood restaurant where you will get an authentically French dining experience.

Berthillon is Paris’s favorite ice cream and is not to be missed. A stroll along the quaint Ile Saint-Louis with your ice cream cone in hand is the best way to enjoy an afternoon.

I love this store because they only sell choux a la crème. They make a variety of flavors and always have a special parfum du jour. The caramel au beurre salé is my favorite, with lemon as a close second!

This boulangerie is famous in Paris for its delicious viennoiseries and bread. If you’re in the Canal Saint Martin area, head over and enjoy some of their treats!

The macarons are the best in the world. The chocolates, tarts, cakes: divine. All of the desserts are made with the highest quality ingredients and are worth every penny. You cannot leave Paris without trying a Pierre Hermé creation!

Angelina is home of the most delectable, richest hot chocolate in Paris. Order the chocolat chaud à l’ancienne dit “l’africain,”; it is life changing.
Ladurée

Dating back to 1862, Ladurée’s tea rooms are among the most stunning in the city. Enjoying a tea here with a selection of macarons is a very Parisian experience.
Café de la Paix

For over a century, patrons have been enjoying a coffee overlooking the Palais Garnier from Café de la Paix’s terrace. I love this café because you get a glimpse of how lush Paris can be.

One of the gems of the Butte aux Cailles neighborhood, it’s a darling corner tea spot with everything you need for knitting. It’s cozy and is the perfect escape from the busy city.

The restaurant Frenchie is just about the hardest place to get a table in Paris. They're open Monday through Friday, and you can call to get a reservation only from 3 - 4 p.m. I once tried the entire hour and couldn't get through – that’s how good the food is. Luckily, there is a wine bar that goes with it! And they offer a variety of snacks and tapas, made by the same team that cooks for the restaurant.
Experimental Cocktail Club

This is a fabulous place for cocktails, probably the best cocktails I have ever had. They have very interesting-sounding combinations but I can assure you that they are all delicious!
Le Mary Celeste

The newest, hottest cocktail place that also serves some great beer on tap. Their chef creates the most delicious tapas, and during Fashion Week, this is the place to be.
Le Baron Rouge

If you like wine and cheese/charcuterie platters, this is your place! It's a bit on the rustic side, as in there's a bit of noise and you can have a wine barrel be the belly bar - but the wines are excellent!

You can get the city’s best Mexican food here. It has a tiny dining area in the front, then through the door in the back, they serve the most incredible cocktails. Not to miss!
Le Schmuck

One of my favorite places in the center of the city is Le Schmuck. You do not go there for the service; you go there for the cocktails and the scene. It's in the very chic Saint Germain des Pres area. A great place to get dressed up with and enjoy a night out!
Le Perchoir

A rooftop bar with spectacular views of Paris, Le Perchoir also offers a variety of drinks, from handcrafted cocktails to a diverse selection of imported and national beers. I suggest arriving early to land a good spot and enjoy watching the lights of Paris emerging from the sunset.
